OUR STORY.
Every EDG Has a Beginning.
Every company has a beginning. Ours started in 2018 with a paper menu at a restaurant in Washington, D.C., where our founder, Sophia Edwards, began sketching out an idea for a different kind of company. Having spent decades on both sides of the table, as a Federal executive responsible for mission delivery and as an industry partner supporting government clients, she understood the challenges, expectations, and realities of each. SharpEDG was created to bring those perspectives together with a belief that strong relationships, trusted expertise, and a genuine understanding of the mission could make a meaningful difference. That idea became SharpEDG.
What began on paper has grown into a thriving Virginia-based company and trusted Federal partner supporting critical missions across government. Along the way, we have built an exceptional team, earned the trust of our clients, formed meaningful partnerships, expanded our capabilities, and created opportunities for others, all while staying grounded in the values and purpose that inspired SharpEDG from the beginning.
We are proud of how far we have come, but even more excited about where we are going. We continue to listen, learn, evolve, and find new ways to bring value to the clients and communities we serve. From those first ideas written on a paper menu to where we are today, one thing is certain...the SharpEDG story is still being written.
