Sophia Edwards is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of SharpEDG, LLC, bringing nearly 30 years of senior leadership and management experience across the Federal Government and private sector. Throughout her career, she has helped organizations navigate complex challenges, strengthen performance, modernize operations, and translate strategic priorities into measurable results.
Prior to founding SharpEDG, Sophia served in the Senior Executive Service (SES) as Chief of Staff for the United States Marshals Service, where she advised executive leadership and
helped advance agency-wide priorities across a complex, mission-driven organization. Her career also includes leadership and consulting experience supporting organizations across defense, homeland security, law enforcement, justice, and other civilian missions.
Sophia founded SharpEDG with a belief that meaningful transformation begins with understanding the mission and the people responsible for delivering it. That philosophy continues to shape the company today. Under her leadership, SharpEDG has grown into a trusted federal partner delivering management consulting, digital and technology transformation, and program delivery solutions designed to strengthen operations and create lasting mission impact.
Her leadership approach combines strategic vision with disciplined execution. She brings extensive experience in strategic planning and performance management, organizational transformation, program and project management, business process improvement, governance, risk management, technology modernization, and executive advisory services. Just as importantly, she believes leadership is about investing in people, creating opportunities for others to grow, and building relationships grounded in trust.
Sophia is also a contributing author to Ladies in Tech: The Strength, Strategies, and Lessons of Women Leaders, Volume 3, sharing her experience and perspective alongside other women leaders in technology. Her contribution reflects a broader commitment to mentorship, leadership development, and helping others translate experience into meaningful growth and impact.
Beyond SharpEDG, Sophia is actively engaged in organizations that strengthen the federal contracting community and advance women in business and leadership. She serves on the 2026 Board of Directors of the Digital WOSB Alliance and as Government Relations Co-Chair, and serves as Chair of Sponsorships for Executive Women in Government. She is also a Strategic Advisor to the Government Technology & Services Coalition and participates in industry organizations focused on collaboration, leadership, and the federal marketplace.
